Privacy Policy & Data Use Notice

Your information is held in confidence.

Last updated: May 12, 2026

1. Who we are

Turning Point Advocacy ("we," "us," or "our") provides federal sentencing consulting, First Step Act guidance, RDAP advisement, post-conviction support, and assistance with appeals, §2255 motions, sentence reductions, and compassionate release filings. We are not a law firm and do not provide legal advice. Work is performed under attorney direction where applicable.

2. Information we collect

  • Intake details you submit voluntarily: name, email, federal district or state, case stage, and case notes.
  • Communication records: emails, calls, and messages exchanged during consultation or engagement.
  • Case documents you choose to share (e.g., PSR, judgment, BOP records).
  • Basic technical data from your visit (IP address, device, browser) used for security and site reliability.

3. How we use your information

  • To respond to your consultation request and evaluate your case.
  • To deliver the services you engage us for.
  • To coordinate with attorneys, family members, or third parties at your written direction.
  • To comply with legal obligations and protect against fraud or misuse.

We do not sell your information. We do not share it with marketers, advertisers, or data brokers.

4. Confidentiality

All consultations are confidential. Information you share is treated as sensitive and is accessible only to consultants and supporting personnel who need it to serve your case. Where we work alongside counsel, communications may be protected by attorney work-product or attorney-client privilege; we will tell you when that applies.

5. How we store and protect data

Intake submissions are stored on secure, access-controlled cloud infrastructure with encryption in transit and at rest. Access is limited to authorized personnel. We retain records for as long as needed to perform services and meet legal obligations, then delete or anonymize them.

6. Sharing with third parties

We share information only when:

  • You direct us to (e.g., to your attorney or a family member).
  • It is necessary to deliver the service (e.g., a vendor that processes filings).
  • Required by law, court order, or to protect rights and safety.

7. Your rights

You may request to:

  • Access the information we hold about you.
  • Correct inaccurate information.
  • Delete your information, subject to legal retention requirements.
  • Withdraw consent and end the engagement at any time.

To exercise any of these rights, email tpadvocacyhelp@gmail.com.

8. Children

Our services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

9. Updates to this notice

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
